[OH] Warren Township Officer Tvaroch not charged amid multiple reports from women


A Warren Township police officer [Anthony Tvaroch] has been placed on paid administrative leave after a civil protection order was filed against him... Police Chief Tom Rush said several complaints have been filed against Tvaroch in the past several weeks. He said the allegations stem from domestic disputes... No criminal charges have been filed... Officials said another civil protection order was taken out against Tvaroch in February by another woman...

[Excerpts] An eight-year veteran of the police department [Anthony Tvaroch ] was placed on unpaid leave Friday after a woman's request for a civil protection order was granted by a Trumbull County Common Pleas Court magistrate... Tvaroch is accused of sexually assaulting the woman at a bar, which the officer has denied. No charges have been filed against him, and he has 14 days to appeal the order. Tvaroch was placed on paid administrative leave in May when the woman filed several complaints against him, but he had since returned to work. [Full article here]

Police Chief Tom Rush said several complaints have been filed against Tvaroch in the past several weeks. He said the allegations stem from domestic disputes in Howland between Tvaroch and a girlfriend. No criminal charges have been filed, but the woman received the protection order from Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. "The protection order says he cannot carry a gun, and we are now going to send this to our legal counsel," Rush said. The chief also said the township is now conducting its own internal investigation on the matter. [Excerpts] A Warren Township patrolman is on indefinite paid administrative leave while police conduct an internal investigation in connection with two recent domestic disputes reported at the Howland home where he was living. Anthony Tvaroch, 36, who also has an address on Salt Springs Road, Lordstown, was also named as a respondent in a protection order filed Monday by [J.O.], who lives on Anderson Avenue N.E., in Howland... [Lt. Don] Bishop said Tvaroch also was named in a similar protection order last year taken out by another woman... "I even offered to give him a ride to another location and he refused.
